Juicing Alfalfa

Juicing Alfalfa
Alfalfa can be great to juice because the sprouts are so good for you. They are packed with different vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin A, B1, C and K. They also contain Calcium, Iron and Zinc to name a few. Because alfalfa contains a high amount of vitamins, this makes the sprouts the most nutritionally concentrated. They are even used in Chinese medicine and have been for many years.

Alfalfa can be a very strong flavour when juiced, but if it is mixed with sweeter flavours, like apples or carrots, you can mask the flavour of the alfalfa slightly, but you are still getting all the goodness.

Alflalfa is high in Vitamin K, which is necessary for your body, as it helps with blood clotting. It is also said to contain high levels of phytochemicals. These compounds support the prevention of various diseases, such as cancer, osteoporosis and cardiovascular diseases.
